Father’s Care asks that you join us in prayer for the children of Ukraine. Our prayer is that we would be able to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of each child who comes to live at the Ark. We also pray that God would work in the lives of parents and other family members so that they might create a better situation at home for children. God created the family to love and be loved, and family is sacred. Let’s pray that He would continue to restore lives and pour out His love and blessings on our children and their families.
Father’s Care is completely sustained by the gifts of private donors from several countries. Without your support, we are unable to properly provide for the children in our care. We are a registered non-governmental organization with a United States 501 (c) 3 classification. You can donate by simply clicking on our “Donate” tab on the top right side of our site, by sending a cash or check to our office in the U.S. No amount is too small to make a difference in the life of a child.
If you would like to organize a fundraiser for Father’s Care, please email us, and we will send you an electronic copy of our Fundraiser’s Toolbox: Strategies and Tactics for Father’s Care Fundraising.
For years Father’s Care has welcomed volunteers (teams and individuals) to come and help us with our work. Perhaps you’re a member of a church or other organization that would like to organize a volunteer trip—well, this might be the perfect opportunity for your group.
Typically we host teams or individuals for week to two-week sessions in summers, but we are happy to welcome volunteers all year round. We accommodate volunteers here on the property, providing sleeping quarters and three meals of delicious and authentic Ukrainian food a day. Teams often create their own schedule of activities ranging from construction and landscaping projects to programming games, discussions and other activities for the children. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have regarding volunteering.
If you’re not able to join us in Kiev, you can also volunteer your time at home. Whether you’re in a student club, a small group at church, or on a local sports team, ask the people in your immediate community if they would be willing to help you raise funds for the children at the Ark. From bake sales to benefit concerts, we are always happy to help brainstorm ideas and provide informational materials for events.
We firmly believe in the power of individuals to make a difference. If you don’t have the financial capability to donate or the time to volunteer, please just take a few moments to share about our work with your family and friends. Share a Facebook post, retweet an update, or pass on our newsletter or website. The more people who can be a voice for the children and families of Ukraine, the more likely we are to see real change and real results.
